An authoritative report have revealed that Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, who is now addressed as Pastor Anita Schafer the former wife of Christ Embassy founder, has remarried. 

According to an exclusive report by Dawn to Dusk News, Pastor Anita Ebhodaghe, the estranged wife of the founder and general overseer of Believer’s Love World a.k.a Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has officially re-married.

"There are strong indications that the ex-wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Anita, has remarried. It was reported that on the 3rd October 2016, Pastor Anita introduced 'Schafer' to her maiden name as she authored her latest article 'A Simple Prayer' as Anita Ebhodaghe Schafer.

Popular South African Pastor Dies Following 30 Days Fasting

A quick reminder not to dare God, after a popular South African pastor dies following 30 days fasting in a bid to break Jesus Christ's record.

In a determined bid to break the record set by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, a 44-year-old popular South African pastor, Alfred Ndlovu, has died of malnutrition following a dry fasting that lasted for 30 days.

 

According to Buzz South Africa, the cleric left home on June 17 for a nearby bush to have prayers just like Jesus did in an attempt to equal or break Jesus Christ's record of fasting for 40 days, but died just a month despite having no history of illness. 

 

It was learnt that the pastor was alone in the wilderness and his body was found by a stranger who then called on his family, congragation and the police. 

 

He was known by his family and community at large as a very spiritual person whose faith could move mountains and his death surprised everyone, even church members.

 

A close relative said: "He was a very spiritual man. Its unfortunate he had to die this way. After a month we got the sad news of his death. Pastor was a healthy and religious old man who did not even look his age."

A Nigerian pastor is reported to have followed the footsteps Nollywood actress Lola Alao who recent switched faith. 

A pastor (pictured above) with a church in Taraba State yesterday converted to the Muslim faith at the Uthman Bin Fodio Mosque in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

He is now to be known as Suleiman Mafindi.

Islamic Agenda and Buhari's Grand Plan to Wipe Out Christians

A Christian cleric and high sounding member of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Musa Asake, has spoken out about recent events in Nigeria. 

Rev. Musa Asake is the General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

 

In a recent interview with The Punch where he spoke with Bayo Akinloye, the pastor made comments on the recent spate of killings and attacks on non-Muslims.

 

When he was asked how he feels about the killing of a Redeemed Christian Church of God preacher, Eunice Elisha, he said: "I really don’t know – that’s not the first killing.

"I don’t why this is happening; we have security agencies in Nigeria. But when a Christian is killed, they (Muslims) either say it’s due to blasphemy or they don’t give a reason at all.

"After the killings, we are often told some people were arrested – that’s the best we hear. And, after the arrest, nothing happens again. As Christians we’re going through a difficult time.

"Therefore, my reaction to the killing of the RCCG’s pastor is that it was an ugly incident. It ought not to have happened. There’s never been a situation where a Christian will go and kill somebody for no reason but Christians are being killed Muslims – let me say by extremists; because not all Muslims are involved. Then, we are also faced with Fulani herdsmen who are killing people and wiping out villages as if we don’t have a government in the country. It is a very sad situation."

 

When he was asked what the implication of the crisis was, Asake said: "From the way I see things happening, there is a grand plan to wipe out Christians in this country but by the grace of God it will not come to pass.

 

"That is why I am saying if the government is not going to protect us, then we have no choice but to protect ourselves. We will not continue to fold our hands and accept being killed for no reason.

 

"These killings are going on as usual and we have got to a point to say ‘enough is enough.’ Everybody has to defend themselves."

Catholic bishops condemn election violence in South Africa

Cape Town - Young people should not let politicians use them in the build-up to the elections, the Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference and the Justice and Peace Commission said on Monday.

The commission was concerned about the rising levels of violence and political intolerance ahead of the August 3 local government elections, Bishop Abel Gabuza said. 

“Do not allow yourselves to be used by the politicians who show signs that their primary interest is greed for power and government tenders,” he said.

ANC supporters in several parts of Tshwane began protesting, looting, and destroying property last Sunday, after the party announced Thoko Didiza as its mayoral candidate for the metro.

Gabuza condemned political party leaders who mobilised young people to take part in violence.

"We are disappointed that our political leaders have not been visible and loud enough in their condemnation of factional violence and political assassinations. They have also not been vigorous enough in disciplining their candidates and members who are involved in disrupting campaign rallies of other parties and in creating no-go zones," he said.

CAN Elects New President

Elections for a new president of the Christian Association of Nigeria have been concluded and a new president as emerged. 

Rev. Supo Ayokunle, the president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), has emerged the new president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

 

Rev. Ayokunle defeated Elder Joseph Otubu in the just concluded Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) election as announced by the out-going president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

 

Ayokunle defeated Elder Otubu of the Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (MCCSW) with 54 votes to 28.

 

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, announced the result at 2:30pm to a rousing applause at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.
