The Real Truth! Buhari was in Germany on a Medical Trip- Junaid Mohammed

A Nigerian leader has revealed President Buhari's perceived mission in Germany which has been expertly done to prevent public knowledge.

With the dust yet to settle over an interview Aisha Buhari granted the British Broadcasting Corporation, a Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed, has stated that the President’s recent trip to Germany was for medical reasons.

Mohammed, a Russian-trained medical doctor, revealed this in an interview with Sunday Punch on Saturday.

Mrs. Buhari had accused an unnamed cabal, made up of individuals who were not part of the struggle for Buhari’s emergence as president, of having hijacked the Presidency.

Expressing her frustration, Mrs. Buhari threatened not to support any attempt by her husband to re-contest in 2019 if things do not change. Mohammed alleged that the president’s handlers were making similar mistakes committed by those who served as close advisers to ex-President Umaru Yar’Adua.

According to him, Buhari was in Germany to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment but his handlers arranged a state visit in an attempt to mask the truth.

Mohammed said, “The reason the president travelled to Germany was not what it was advertised to be. The trip is basically a medical trip. It was undertaken for medical reasons. It was only converted to a state visit as an afterthought and that tells you the level of contempt the handlers of the president have for Nigerians. We blamed the handlers of Yar’Adua for the way they kept his ailment secret.

“Now, Nigerians have a big surprise awaiting them. They have not been told the truth about the real state of the man’s (Buhari) health. He is our president.

Nigerians elected him into office and we must never allow individuals to play with our intelligence and do something stupid and dangerous to our country. I hope and pray that next time, the Nigerian people would be told the truth. It’s a medical trip; they (handlers) issued statements to camouflage the real reason behind the trip.”

The former lawmaker stated that those behind the cover-up did not love the president more than Nigerians who voted him into office. Mohammed also accused those criticising Mrs. Buhari of hypocrisy.

Unrepentant! Buhari Insists His Wife's Place Remains in the Kitchen in Another Interview!

In yet another explosive interview in Germany which has already gone viral online, President Muhammadu Buhari is insisting that the place of his wife, Aisha, is in the kitchen.

On Friday, the internet went into frenzy buzzing with mixed reactions and criticisms after President Muhammadu Buhari said his wife belonged in the kitchen, and “the other room,” apparently a euphemism for the bedroom.

Recall that the president made the above comment at a press conference after a closed-door meeting, with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, in response to an interview his wife, Aisha granted the BBC, where she said that his government had been hijacked, adding that she might not support her husband under the present circumstances if he seeks re-election in 2019.

Buhari in his reaction had stated; “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but my wife belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.

“It is not easy to do away with opposition or people who did not follow you along your campaign trail. I hope my wife will remember that I was on the field for 12 years; I tried three times, the fourth time I managed to succeed. And I ended up the first three times in the Nigerian Supreme Court, so I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition and I succeeded.”

In response to a backlash from the statement, Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, said the president was only joking.

But in an interview with DW’s Phil Gayle, Buhari reiterated his position for the second time, saying the function of his wife was to take care of his home:

DW: Recently your wife criticised your choices for top jobs, and you responded by saying “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room.” What did you mean by that, sir?

Buhari: I am sure you have a house. You know where your kitchen is, you know where your living room is, and I believe your wife looks after all of that, even if she is working.

DW:  That is your wife’s function?

Buhari: Yes, to look after me.

DW: And she should stay out of politics?

Buhari: I think so!

Law Breaker President! Buhari Set to Defy ECOWAS Court Order to Release Dasuki

President Muhammadu Buhari's continued incarceration of Sambo Dasuki despite an express order by the ECOWAS Court has been apparently confirmed by his aide.

The Nigerian government is not obligated to obey a ruling of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, Court that a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, be released from the custody of the State Security Service, a presidential aide has said.

The ECOWAS Court, on October 4, had declared the continued detention of Mr. Dasuki unlawful, arbitrary and a violation of his right to liberty.

The former NSA is accused of misspending billions of dollars meant for procurement of arms for fight against Boko Haram. The government also accuses him of illegal possession of firearms.

Mr. Dasuki was arrested in December 2015, and has been in detention since then.

“It is advisory opinion,” President Muhammadu Buhari’s adviser on prosecution, Okoi Obla, said of the ECOWAS’ court ruling, in an exclusive interview with PREMIUM TIMES.

“The ECOWAS Court cannot enforce opinion. The government is not obligated to obey the ruling of the ECOWAS Court.”

The ECOWAS Court was created pursuant to the Article 6 and Article 15 of the Revised Treaty of ECOWAS, the political-economic bloc of the West African countries.

Nigeria is a signatory to the Treaty which is “binding on the member states, the institutions of the community, individuals and corporate bodies,” as its Article 15(4) provides.

But Section 12(1) of the Nigerian Constitution says “No treaty between the Federation (Nigeria) and any other country shall have the force of law except to the extent to which any such treaty has been enacted by the National Assembly”.
The National Assembly has not domesticated the Revised Treaty and the Supplementary Protocol regarding the ECOWAS Court.

Regardless, analysts expect Nigeria to obey the ruling as an exemplary demonstration of its leadership position in the West African sub-region.

I have just been reliably informed that the Director of the popular News blog, IGBERE TV (IGBERETVNEWS.COM), Emeh James Anyalekwa has just been arrested by people suspected to be agents of DSS over allegations of anti Buhari publications.

Seven men in two Hilux Jeeps early this morning at about 6.00am stormed the Uyo residence of the blogger and whisked him away in the presence of his wife and little daughter without disclosing the reason for his arrest and their destination.

The men took away his Laptops, his phones, his wife’s phones and every digital device in sight after ransacking their apartment.

Though the DSS has not confirmed his arrest, a source in DSS office Uyo said that the Presidency is not happy with Anyalekwa over IGBERE TV’s persistent pro Biafra publications. He was also wanted for questioning over what he called "some sensitive anti Buhari publications" recently.

The source also revealed that Anyalekwa was first taken to an unknown location in Uyo before immediately being transferred to Abuja.

Anyalekwa’s fast rising blog, (IGBERETVNEWS.COM), launched about a year ago has been attacked and shutdown severally by people suspected to be agents of the federal government over his persistent pro Biafra reports.

Just last Friday, The blog was shutdown by his host without any reason. On Tuesday 11th October, the site was restored after he changed his host, but surprisingly, it was shutdown again by the new host the following day (less than 48 hours later) without any concrete reason. The site is still down as at the time of this report as his engineers are reportedly battling round the clock to restore the site back online.

I hereby call on Buhari and his DSS people to immediately release Anyalekwa. The last time I checked, we‘re still in a democracy. If they have anything against the Blogger, the right thing to do is to charge him to court. Buhari should stop all these human rights violations before it’s too late.

Shamefulll! German Journalist Corrects Another Public Blunder by Buhari's Media Aide

A German journalist, Dominic Johnson has issued a corrective message to the generality of media houses in Nigeria as well as the President Muhammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on New Media named Bashir Ahmad following an act of misinformation by an online news platform.

After the dirty drama of plagiarism that has plagued President Muhammadu Buhari's media team recently, his P.A - Bashir Ahmad has goofed again on social media with another act of gross misinformation that has caught the eye of a foreigner from Europe.

Bashir Ahmad impatiently took to his Twitter page to announce the spoils of President Buhari's visit to Germany to meet with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. Mr Ahmad ambitiously stated that Merkel has earmarked $18 'billion' for the development of the Lake Chad Basin area after assumably obtaining the erroneous report from 'The Cable' online newspaper.

Dominic Johnson swiftly corrected the false report by claiming the proposed fund is $18 million which is simply for humanitarian aid to the region. This has been described as an embarrassment to the state of journalism in Nigeria where reports make headlines and go viral without due investigations by reporters.

Dominic Johnson is a Foreign Editor & Africa Editor of German newspaper TAZ (die tageszeitung) in Berlin - Germany.

Niger Delta Pipeline Attack: Militants claim Responsibility

Niger delta militants on Friday claimed an attack on a pipeline in Nigeria’s restive south, the latest strikes on key national infrastructure that has cut output and hit public finances.
“At about 9pm on Thursday… the Akuma Strike team of the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM) brought down the Iwhremaro Quality Control Centre (QCC) delivery line,” the group said in a statement.
The NDGJM which has claimed previous attacks in the region, warned oil majors against repairing sabotaged facilities in the Niger delta.
“We serve this as a notice to the Nigerian government and its conniving multinationals that the Operation Hammurabi Code has been initiated, henceforth, it shall be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,” it said.
A senior security officer who did not want to be identified, confirmed the attack on the pipeline in Ughelli area of Delta state.
“Yes, my men from the field confirmed the attack. I can’t categorically give details if dynamite was used on the line as investigations are still very fresh,” the officer told AFP.
The NDGJM has stepped up its attacks after rival group the Niger Delta Avengers declared a ceasefire in August and entered talks with the Nigerian government.
Last month, the group attacked a pipeline operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, a subsidiary of the state-run Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the area.
Since the start of the year, several militant groups have renewed their attacks on the nation’s key oil infrastructure.
The attacks have targeted oil majors like Shell, Mobil, Chevron, Eni and the the NNPC, slashing Nigeria’s oil output and hammering revenue at a time of falling crude prices.

#APCStyleInUSA! Two More Women Accuse Trump of Unwanted Sexual Advances

Two more women including a contestant on Donald Trump’s show “The Apprentice” came forward Friday to accuse the presidential candidate of unwarranted sexual advances.
They were the latest in a stream of women accusing Trump of predatory sexual behaviour, adding to the woes of his now free-falling presidential bid.
Summer Zervos, a contestant in season five on Trump’s reality TV show, said that after he “fired” her she remained in touch with him, viewing him as a mentor. The winner of each season in the now-defunct program got a job with the Trump Organisation.
In 2007, Trump arranged to meet Zervos at the Beverly Hills hotel for dinner to talk about employment. Instead, she said, when she showed up she was taken to a bungalow and Trump started kissing and touching her.
“He began kissing me aggressively and placed his hand on my breast,” Zervos told a news conference in Los Angeles.
She added: “He put me in an embrace and I tried to push him away. I pushed his chest to put space between us and I said ‘come on man, get real.’ He repeated my words back to me, ‘get real’, as he began thrusting his genitals.”
Zervos said she decided to speak out after hearing Trump deny — during last Sunday’s debate — that he had ever behaved like a sexual predator.
A video tape released two days earlier by the Washington Post features Trump boasting he got away with grabbing women by the crotch because he is famous.
Also Friday a former aspiring model, Kristin Anderson, told the Post that Trump had sidled up to her in a nightclub in the early 1990s, reached under her skirt and touched her vagina through her panties.
Trump denies the slew of allegations he now faces, calling them lies.

Silencing the 'Critic': EFCC Files Fresh Charges Against Fani-Kayode in High Court

Fani-Kayode, the Director of Media and Publicity in the campaign organisation of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, who has been standing trial before the Federal High Court in Lagos, has been dealt another blow.

Some fresh money laundering charges has been filed against former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

According to Punch newspaper, in the fresh charges which Fani-Kayode is the sole defendant, numbered, FHC/ABJ/CR/140/2016, was mentioned before Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday.

The EFCC in the fresh case filed five counts in which it accused the defendant of diverting N26m allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser while Sambo Dasuki was in office.

The anti-graft agency also accused him of handling the said N26m without going through financial institution as required under the Money Laundering Act.

Although Fani-Kayode was absent  at the proceedings, he was represented by a team of lawyers led by Mr. Wale Balogun. Balogun wondered why the prosecution who filed the charges was not aware of the proceedings.

He complained that his client had yet to be served with the charges as required, and sought an adjournment and the judge adjourned till November 10 for arraignment.

The judge also ordered that hearing notice be served on the EFCC.

Recall the embattled former minister is already facing 17 counts of money laundering before the Lagos Division of the court, along with a former Finance Minister, Nenadi Usman; Danjuma Yusuf and a firm, Joint Trust Dimension Nig. Ltd.

They were charged with unlawful retention, unlawful use and unlawful payment of money to the tune of N4.9bn.

#APCLies! Boko Haram Commanders Were Exchanged for Chibok Girls - CNN Reveals

CNN is reporting that a number of Boko Haram commanders were freed as part of Thursday's release of 21 Chibok schoolgirls which have been in captivity for almost 2 years.

Conflicting information is emerging about what Boko Haram received in exchange for releasing 21 Chibok schoolgirls in Nigeria this week after holding them for two years.

"A number of Boko Haram commanders" were freed as part of Thursday's release of the girls, a source close to the negotiations between the Islamist militant group and the Nigerian government said on condition of anonymity.

This contrasts with what the Nigerian government has said, which is that the girls' release was not a prisoner exchange.

"This was not a swap," Nigerian Information Minister Alhaji Lai Mohammed said Thursday. "It is a release, the product of painstaking negotiations and trust on both sides."

A separate source, one with direct knowledge about the girls' release, told CNN Thursday that no captive Boko Haram fighters were released in exchange for the girls.

The 21 that Boko Haram released Thursday were among the 276 girls and women, ages 16 to 18, that militants herded from bed in the middle of the night at a boarding school in Chibok, Nigeria, in April 2014 - a kidnapping that spurred global outrage.

Recession to Last till 2018: Expert Warns Nigerians

A Lagos-based financial expert, Mr. Bismarck Rewane, on Friday expressed optimism that Nigeria would get out of recession by 2018 with the right economic policies.
Rewane, also the Chief Executive Officer, Financial Derivatives Ltd., said this at the 2016 Independent Shareholders Association of Nigeria Triennial Delegates Conference/Gala Night in Lagos.
The financial expert said that the Federal Government must embrace the best economic policies urgently to addressing the recession.
He said “It will take a minimum of 18 months for Nigeria to get out of recession, and signs of recovery will start showing in 2017 with the best policies.
“Nigeria will start showing symptoms of wellness in 2017 and by 2018, Nigeria will be well again.”
He said that there is sense of urgency, honesty and desperation in addressing the country’s economic challenges.
He said, “If we fail this time as a country, everybody fails.”
He said that government must raise funds from multinational agencies, reduce interest rate and debt servicing to achieve the desired growth.
Rewane called for an expansion in credit supply and reduction of the cash reserve requirement for banks to lend to the real sector.
The financial expert insisted that redundant assets could be concessioned to bring the country out of recession.
Rewane said that public schools, hospitals and public hospitals needed to be more efficient and effective to reduce pressure on foreign exchange.
Rewane attributed the nation’s economic challenges to “policy misalignment,” external imbalances and internal imbalances that led to low productivity.
Former Group Managing Director, Ecobank Transnational, Mr. Arnold Ekpe, in a keynote address, said that government needed to reflate the economy through infrastructure development to create economic activities.
Ekpe said that effective power sector was paramount for the growth and development of other sectors of the economy.
He said, “A lot of countries had moved ahead of Nigeria. South Africa now is number one in Africa. We should try and regain our position, we have the people, we have oil and other things. We need to take an action now.”
Ekpe said that government and regulators should work together to deepen the nation’s bourse.
Mr. Ikechukwu Kelikume of the Lagos Business School, said that there must be a balance in monetary and fiscal policy for the country to move forward.
Kelikume said that government must promote the non-oil export sector to increase the country’s export revenue.
He also called for tax rebate and tax holiday for local industries to encourage local manufacturers.
Former Managing Director, defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc, Dr Erastus Akingbola, said that government needed to change the current foreign exchange policy to encourage people with dollars to bring them into the country.
Akingbola said that stringent policies should be curtailed in order to bring the country out of recession.
He said that government must encourage entrepreneurs and exporters because they were the only ones that would create the needed jobs.
Akingbola also called for reduction in the cost of governance, noting that Nigerian political system was very expensive.
The theme of the conference was “Financial turbulence & regulatory framework in a recession economy.”
