Founder of Omega Fire and Miracles Ministries in Auchi, Edo State has rained curses on Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State over his directive that pastors and churches must obtain licence before preaching.
The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has asked Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to revoke the law regulating religious preaching across the state or die.
It can be recalled that recently, the governor sent a bill to the State House of Assembly to regulate religious preaching across the state.
The bill titled: "A bill for a law to substitute the Kaduna State religious preaching law, 1984", is also aimed at banning the usage of loudspeaker for religious purposes 'other than inside a Mosques or Church and the surrounding areas outside the stipulated prayer times.'
The President of Celebration TV, castigated the governor over his directive that pastors and churches must be licenced to preach.
According to Suleiman, El Rufai has no right to regulate the activities of religious leaders when he has not regulated the activities of traditionalist in the state, adding that before he became governor, there were men of God and that they will still remain men of God when he leaves office.
