Boko Haram Massacre Left Jere LGA a Weeping Site




Boko Haram fighters on Tuesday evening, invaded a settlement in Jere LGA of Borno State, firebombed huts and opened fire on civilians, leaving bullet-ridden and charred bodies strewn across the streets. 


At least six civilians were killed when Boko Haram militant attacked a village near Maiduguri last night, vigilantes and resident said.
 
Boko Haram insurgents stormed a village of Ladi Butai in Jere LGA of Borno State,  opened fire on villagers at about 9 pm killing, not fewer than 6 people and injuring scores.
 
 
Commander of Civilian JTF, who does not want his name printed told Saharareporters that the Boko Haram militants overpowered the CJTF stations in the village and succeeded in killing unarmed villagers.
 
 
A fleeing resident Modu Baba told Saharareporters that the insurgents invaded their village last night, but he was lucky to escape to bushes and trekked to Maiduguri.
